Our Managing Director James joined Forge in 1997, and oversees all our planning projects. Trained at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Bradford & Ilkley Art College and Portsmouth University, James loves ‘getting paid to draw’ and solving the intricate and unique puzzles that typify planning and construction.

James has successfully led many large scale residential and mixed-use developments from inception through to completion for a broad range of clients. More recently, James has enjoyed overseeing a number of high budget hospitality schemes.

Over the years, James has been involved in many charity focused projects, assisting with the creation of new spaces which have supported and cultivated the works of charitable organisations.

James is waiting for his children to grow up before he pursues his career as a rock star!
