Save 24th June for The Great Get Together 2018
Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) is once again hosting a day-long ‘free’ street party spanning Union Street to Flat Iron Square. As part of our Giving Back projects, FORGE will be a lead sponsor and heavily involved in the organisation, curation and design of The Great Get Together 2018 that will take place on June 24th.
Building on last year's success, this year's talent line-up is set to attract more than 5,000 visitors to enjoy one of London’s most vibrant, diverse and accessible street festivals.
Highlights include the sought -after Feast on the Street, Bark off Dog Show, Wacky Races and Headdress Parade, along with live music and theatre across three stages from Brothers Ignatius Ska Band, Corsica Studios DJs and Lost Rivers, laugh-a-minute comedy from the Country Mile Comedy Club, dance workshops from Swing Patrol and the Castellers of London’s amazing human tower.
The Great Get Together will also put Bankside on the map of London Festival of Architecture's (LFA) global festival trail with a series of events reflecting its theme of ‘Identity’ - from Musicity’s extraordinary singing buildings to dedicated installation celebrating the centenary year of women’s suffrage and the inspirational societal work of local female figureheads.
