Re-visiting Commercial Road

Andrew managed the project team for Bugler - the developer of this mixed-use scheme in Tower Hamlets. Close attention was paid to the integrity of the original architect’s proposal during the construction design phase.

A key feature of the elevation was the reveal depth which required careful detailing; the rhythm of the brick piers necessitated the incorporation of a ring beam at each floor level which is expressed by the bands of the façade in keeping with the original vision. It was challenging to deliver the building on budget but Forge managed to achieve this.
