Louise Young

Architect and Sustainability Lead

After joining Forge in 2017, Louise quickly became a valued member of both the planning and construction teams. Her interest in creating spaces that have a positive impact on the users, whether it’s a single room or public space, led to her interest in a career in architecture.

Louise qualified as an architect in late 2018 after completing her Part III course at the University of Westminster. At Forge, she is keen to further her experience on site, liaising with clients and contractors to realise projects. Sustainability is at the core of her thinking on a day-to-day basis so she is well placed to take the lead within the practice to ensure that going forward, designs are considerate to the environment.

When she is not knitting, Louise makes a mean homebrew and dedicates time to keep up her illustration skills. She also enjoys the challenge of growing vegetables on a blustery balcony!
