Thrale House Site Visit

Andrew from our team of Directors recently took the team on a site visit to Thrale House, 44-46 Southwark Street, which is nearing completion.

The existing 19th Century four storey office building is currently being refurbished with an additional modern set back glazed storey created at 5th Floor level. The Southwark Street façade is also being fully restored with a number of the gothic style cornices & elaborate stucco dressings recreated to compliment the italianate character of the existing building. The construction has been complicated as the project has been partially tenanted for the duration of the works with the ground floor retail spaces in constant use. An intricate steel frame design was produced by Form Structural Design to create the new fifth floor storey setback, highlighting the attention to detail which has been carried out on this project.

On completion, the 5th floor office space and generous office terrace will offer up an uninterrupted panoramic view of Southwark Street.
